Kick off To Dream Halloween

Six regional charities have joined forces to create this new and innovative event which will benefit the Alzheimer's Society of York Region, Big Brothers Big Sisters of York, Character Community Foundation of York Region, Doane House Hospice, Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers and the Women's Centre of York Region. This joint effort is a wonderful representation of charities working together to expand their outreach and meet the needs of many at-risk groups within our community. The eight "Philanthropic Stars” were introduced and will be vying against each other to raise the most money and be crowned '2012 Dream Philanthropist.' This year's stars are: Nic Ahola, James Burgess, Tina Demjen, Chris Emanuel, Jennifer Ettinger, Jacquie Hermans, Sandra Humfryes and Robin Smith. In the end all the monies raised will be divided equally between the six charities.
